Pain ManagemenT?
I RECENTLY TRIPPED AND TOOK A SERIOUS FALL. AFTER WAITING 3 DAYS, MY HAND BLOATING UP TO THE SIZE IF AN ORANGE I FINALLY WENT TO THE HOSPITAL (IM NOT A DOCTOR KIND OF PERSON) I THOUGHT I JUST SPRAINED ME HAND. AFTER HAVING X RAYS TAKEN IT WAS FOUND THAT I HAD BROKEN TWO BONES IN MY HAND. NOW TYPINING WITH ONE HAND IS A REAL BITCH.
ANYWAY IN THE HOSPITAL THE GAVE ME 10 5 MG PERCOCETS FOR THE PAIN. AFTER 2 DAYS THE PAIN WAS SO INTRNSE I WENT TO AN ORTHOPEDIC DR. WHO PRESDRIBED ME VICODEN EXTRA STRENGTH. IS THERE ANY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO AND IF SO WHAT? I AM STLL IN HORRIBLE PAIN AND FEEL HELPLESS. PLEASE HELP ME ANYONE.
They are very similar drugs but Percocets are a bit stronger than Vicodin. The generic for Perc is Oxycodone, and the generic for Vics is Hydrocodone. I would try using ice packs to help with the swelling and the pain. Also keep it elevated to stop the throbbing, needs to be higher than your heart.
snort em’…
naw im just fucking with you if your taking percs and vicodin together you should be feeling like your on a cloud so the pain might actually be mental and theres not much difference between the two they’re both from opium

I’m not a doctor person either but when I broke my ankle, ooh boy did it hurt, I had 10mg of morphine and they gave me these other tablets called Tramal 100mg, but this is Australia, I don’t know what they call them over there. I didn’t take them because they can be addictive, and I didn’t want that problem too, so I elevated my ankle as often as possible, used panadol when I had too, when the plaster came off I used what we call a tub-e-grip, its an elastic like sleeve to cover the site and give it support. I know it’s painful, but try and ask the chemist for something thats strong but non addictive, maybe some ibprophen or something like that, please take care, I know it hurts but please don’t do or take anything silly, it’s not worth the drama it causes later, Goodluck to you and I hope you get better sooner, rather than later, my ankle is still broken 6 years later but is being held together by body tissue, so I hope you don’t have any of those problems!!!

You must definately be a man.Suck it up you big baby.I broke my ankle in 3 spots walked 2 miles on it and did not wine as much as you are.You must have the smallest lowest pain tolerance I have ever seen.Get with it.Do a couple perks and get on with it.

the difference is the dosage. there are some medicinal differences regarding the derivitives of the narcotic but they are very close. You have a very low tolerance for pain. i recomend 40mg ocycoton 15 tablets. 1 per day should do it. then couple that with 30 5mg hydrocodone (Vicoden) for the in between time of your dosage. as always take as Dr. Prescribes and be very careful, these drugs are VERY VERY ADDICTIVE. i cant stress enough that these type drugs should only be used on a temporary basis at limited dosing schedules.
Keep your hand elevated as well and alternate heat and ice packs every 30 min or so for a bit in the evening when time allows. Good luck. and please remember what i said avout the drugs addictive nature. if you want a buzz, by a pint of crown royale and sip generously.

have you ever heard of caps lock- try turning it off, then you might get an appropiate response.

Yeah he has heard of caps lock and in case you didn’t get the memo you idiot he broke his hand. Hence the cap lock.
Dude, the difference is the Vicodin ES is 7.5 MG of hydrocordone (an opiate) and 750 mg of acetometephen. The 5MG percocets are an opiate as well and in a lower dosage. Be careful how much you take if you drink. It can wreck your liver.
