Athlete’s Foot also caused by Toe Nail Fungus

Toe nail fungus can easily spread and become athletes foot. “People say to me they have had dry skin forever and it just doesn’t go a way and most of the time you see it is athlete foot that they have not been treating,” said Dr. Hutton. Athletes foot looks itchy but often is not. “It does not have to itch. One of the cases can be just a dry skin on the soles of the feet another one can be a wet or crack in between toes, which is one that everybody says itches the other thing is you can get red dots along the arch which can itch and burn,” Dr. Hutton said. It easily spreads.”It’s contagious and that is the whole idea and if you are walking on surfaces that people are walking barefoot, you get athletes foot,” said Dr. Hutton.

So the fact that Athlete’s Foot Fungus is very contagious, extra care is needed. It is advised that you don’t wear shoes that are closed in and not airy. Primarily Vinyl shoes without many holes or proper ventilation promotes the growth and spread of athlete’s foot if you get it. Try not to go barefoot in community areas that other people walk around in barefoot at any time. Examples of these places vary from locker rooms, showers that multiple people use, even water parks.

Toe nail fungus can be hard to detect at first. Imagine, women, that you especially could have a harder time noticing toe nail fungus if you have nail polishes on them, regardless of color of the polish. Now, regardless of sex, think about if you’ve been barefoot at all recently, in a warm, moist area, that could possibly be contaminated. You may not be able to notice that you have toe nail fungus until it spreads into the more noticeable athlete’s foot. Take extra care where you venture with bare feet, and give your feet some air when wearing tennis shoes. Try wearing flip-flops, clogs, or sandles when in places that athlete’s foot fungus may reside and keep your feet clean.
