Child Eczema Symptoms

It is important to understand that the symptoms of Eczema occur differently in each individual and that the particular symptoms that your child experiences will usually differ with every recurring flare-up. Most of the symptoms are irritations caused by your child’s scratching of their itchy skin. The most common symptoms are:

  • Intense Itch
  • Dryness
  • Blisters
  • Crusting
  • Bleeding
  • Oozing
  • Leathery Scales
  • Redness
  • Cracked Skin
  • Inflammation
  • Weeping
  • Swelling
  • Burning
  • Stinging
  • Darkened Skin

Your child’s Eczema symptoms may also affect their ability to sleep soundly through the night. And if their skin is damaged from scratching, secondary infections may also occur and must be treated immediately to prevent further complications.
