How can I prevent sweating when I have Eczema.?

I think I have Eczema because I have a few patches of dry bumps on my arm, wrists, and a few on my legs. I run alot and I sweat to like anyone who runs but how can I cure my Eczema if I sweat too much while running. P.S. How long does Eczema last and what can you do to heal or cure Eczema?

Eczema lasts forever unless you grow out of it as a child. It is a dormant decease. Different factors trigger it. Like stress, poor diet, and sometimes nothing at all. It just pops up whenever it feels like it. It can’t be cured either. The only thing that you can do is treat the symptoms. And unfortunately when you run the sweat is only irritating it. Keeping yourself well moisturized is the best way to treat it. I take baths in aveeno oatmeal an immediately afterwords apply eucrrin lotion to seal in the moisture. I would do this right after you run. Aveeno also makes a special lotion and soap just for eczema that I recommend. Lotions containing any fragrance are only gonna make it burn and itch more. Even the soap you use in the shower can make it worse. Try to find something Fragrance and dye free aveeno makes a few different kinds. If it gets infected you need to go see a doctor immediately. They can also give you some topical ointments that will help a lot more then anything you can buy over the counter.

home remedies for itiching of eczema?

I was on interfon/copegus combo for 1 year (hep C treatment) About 6 months into it I started with a small patch on my chin which spread throughout my bottom lip all the way down to my collar bones, even the palm of my hands. I saw a dermatologists several times. After 3 rounds of different antibotics, serveral gels and ointments and stopping treatment it still remained. The itiching and buring drives me crazy. A friens at work gave me some Desonide 0.05% ointments that cleared it up within 3 to 5 days, but once I used it up it started coming back within 2 days in the same areas, but now it is on the back if my legs at the bend and the same on my arms. I am so tired of spending money for doctor visits and expensive medications. I have been doing it for a year. I thought once I got off treatment it would just go away. Please help I am desperate…

Find an allergy friendly, fragrance free moisturiser (like Sorbolene in Australia) and put that on the rash. Possibly Calamine Lotion (over the counter at pharmacy) may help with the itching. With the ointments you already have, its important you use them sparingly (only use a tiny amount), as using alot makes your skin thinner and makes it more prone to eczema. Be very careful about putting home remedies on your skin.

Try to work out what your triggers are. I’d be looking at your laundry detergent given that its all over your body, as well as the materials your clothes are made of. Try an allergy friendly detergent and give the clothes an extra rinse cycle in the machine, and try 100% cotton/acrylic clothes. Check your sheets and blankets, don’t use any wool or duck feathers for a while and thoroughly wash any bedding that has been remotely near either of those things.

I’m currently using Advantan cream, it worked for a while but its losing its kick now.

Good luck.

i think i might have scabies and have all the conditions but i think i might have a dry skin condition.?

I looked at the symptoms for scabies and they are consistent with my conditions. but when i get out of the shower i get red bumps and as my body cools they seem to go away. also in between my fingers my skin is ashy and cracked. but the weird thing i dont understand is why i have so many bumps all over my body i have them everywhere. if some one could shed some light on my problem it would be appreicated.

What happens is that the warm or hot water makes the bumps seems visible and as it start to cool off they are less visible. You need a prescribed medication and/or cream for scabbies. You also need to moisturize your skin everyday especially after showers and keep water temperature warm Not Hot, and keep it short the shower that is. For your hands you may have hand dermatitis. You need to take care of yuor hands like wearing glove to do dishes or any work that may include water. Try to wear glove when applying shampoo and rinse it, You can do that before taking a shower. When using detergent wear gloves. Dont do any gardening without glove, and keep moisturizing your hand with hand cream not any cream just hand cream.

How do people come down with a skin condition such as Eczema?

To understand more of my question above .. I, personally never had Eczema growing up and now that I’m in my mid 20’s I had gotten this scaly, red, itchy rash on my face and when I went to go see a Dermatologist, my doctor came up with the diagonsis of Eczema and I researched the skin condition online where I read about how Eczema has no cures. If I never had it in my life and came across it mid-Sept and my rash going away as it comes back .. does anybody know how I would have gotten Eczema in the first place? Any ideas?

Quite often it can be from a lack of essential fatty acids in your diet. EFA’s are a good daily supplement to try for many reasons. My boyfriend suffers from it and as soon as he started taking EFA capsules it decreased dramatically. A regular Dr will often not even bring this up as western medicine’s goal is not to usually combat the cause, it is to medicate the symptom.

Are they any online sites that really cure eczema?

Idk if i made sense, but i’ve come across so much sites with products claiming to get rid of eczema, i don’t know which to order from.

Hi, you can try one of the natural treatments available on the Internet (just google “natural treatment of eczema”) – some of them do work. For my eczema I use herbal cream by Champori quite successfully. It takes just a couple of weeks to clear the spots and then they stay clear for months on end.
Try it: Champori comes with money back guarantee so if it doesn’t work – it’s free.
