Guaranteed Scabies Treatment

We often get asked if you can use only one product instead of buying a complete scabies treatment system. Joe L. had one of these questions recently.

Joe asked, “All the symptoms say scabbies, but my wife does not have it. It has been going on for 6 months and has recently gotten much worse. I itch all day, but worse at night and early morning. I think it is scabbies because I can feel them burrowing I think. Is the Mitactin Deep Cleaning Salve the best way to start out and make sure it works since I am on a very tight income or do I have to do the whole system treatment?”

Our individual products like the Mitactin Salve that Joe mentioned will provide a great deal of relief for scabies. However, our complete non-toxic scabies treatment is really recommended (not to mention guaranteed) to eliminate scabies completely. Our individual products are meant as refill items for individuals who have a severe case of scabies and need a little more product to complete their treatment.

Be careful when choosing a scabies treatment as many available scabies lotions are toxic to your body such as Permethrin Cream and Elimite. You don’t want to get rid of scabies in exchange for even worse health problems cause by toxic scabies lotions.

Think we are making this up? Do some research on the ingredients in Permethrin Cream and Elimite. They contain toxic pesticides which are proven to cause major health problems espcially in severe cases of scabies. Choose a non-toxic scabies lotion to eliminate your scabies problem.

Scabies a highly contagious mite species

Scabies is not a term you hear discussed at the workplace or possibly at family gatherings but it is a very wide spread condition still present and causing problems for people.

Scabies is known as a highly contagious infection caused by a tiny microscopic mite. These mites are usually only about 0.3mm long and burrow into the skin of humans. The female mite burrows under the skin and lays several eggs.  Once the eggs hatch they come up from the skin and attach to the hair shaft for a few molts before growing into adult mites and starting the life cycle over again.

One serious symptom of scabies is intense itching. This itching is caused by an allergic reaction to the feces and saliva of the mites. Itching can still occur after all of the mites have been treated. The more times you have scabies the sooner you will start to feel the itching once you have picked up the mite. Itching increases at night with a scabies infestation and can also become worse during a hot shower.

Many people resort to any scabies treatment they can find, including toxic treatments such as Permethrin Cream and Elimite. These scabies lotions are extremely toxic to your body and contain toxic levels of pesticides. Before resorting to these toxic scabies treatment like Permethrin and Elimite try doing some research for non-toxic scabies lotions available.

Scabies is common among humans who live in overcrowded conditions or if good hygiene is limited.  However, you can be a very clean person and still catch scabies. Scabies is contagious and can be passed by close personal contact with an infected individual or by sharing objects such as sheets, towels or clothing with an infected person.

Scabies will usually burrow into warm folds in the skin. Some common locations of scabies on the body are between the fingers, wrists, armpits, elbows, nipples, genitalia areas, around the waist or the soles of the feet.

Larger infestations of scabies can be called crusted or Norwegian Scabies. This is condition is caused if there is a very large amount of mites on the body. Your normal case of scabies consists of no more than 15 mites on the body at one time. A case of crusted scabies will have thousands or millions of scabies mites on the skin. This is usually caused in people who suffer from a lowered immune system. An individual with a case of Norwegian Scabies does not scratch.  These cases are known to happen with people who live in institutions. This can also happen to people with a skin condition that lowers the amount of sensations on the skin such as syringomyelia or leprosy. Norwegian or crusted scabies will travel to the scalp of their victims while a normal infestation is not usually noticed above the neck.

Preventing scabies can be difficult because it is so highly contagious. However good hygiene is the most important thing you can do. Washing sheets and bedding daily can help to eliminate problems with scabies. Also not sharing items of clothing, towels or bedding with others can also be helpful to prevent scabies from attacking you and your family.

What does Radiant Skin and Psoriasis have in common?

Remember when your mom used to tell you to stay away from French fries because it caused acne and black heads?  Well…  it’s no different if you have psoriasis.

You can still have beautiful radiant skin even though you suffer from psoriasis.  What you eat really does impact the health of your skin.  By making changes in your diet, you can directly impact your skin health while living with psoriasis.

Studies have found that many psoriasis sufferers are deficient in Vitamin A, B, D-3, Vitamin E and zinc in people with psoriasis symptoms.  Getting enough micronutrients from food alone is not enough.  Current research indicates that these vitamins may prove beneficial to psoriasis patients in easing symptoms.  Supplementing your diet with a multivitamin is wise when dealing with skin conditions such as psoriasis to help bring added relief.

Additionally, arachidonic acid and leukotrienes often appear to be raised or elevated in the urine of people with active psoriasis.    Eating fish or taking fish oil supplements (EPA/DHA) can have an anti-inflammatory effect in psoriasis and other skin condition sufferers.

It is believed that toxic build up in the body could be a contributing cause of psoriasis and other type of skin irritation symptoms.  Additionally, people with psoriasis seem to have a higher sensitity to food allergies.  The most common food allergens are gluten and dairy products.

Although fruits and vegetables are recommended in your diet, tomatoes, eggplant and strawberries may make your psoriasis symptoms worse.  Note that highly processed foods, soda, alcohol, fried foods, caffeine may also cause increased skin inflammation.

Drinking at least eight glasses of water a day, while eating fresh fruits and vegetables, is highly suggested to keep your skin beautiful and radiant.  Eating these types of foods is not only beneficial to those suffering from skin ailments, but is also a healthy way for people not currently afflicted to prevent future skin conditions from forming.  Very limited amounts of meats and low-fat dairy products, eggs, and olive oil are also suggested.

Poison Ivy Deadly to some

Poison Ivy can be deadly to some people, but knowing your enemy intimately can save your life!  Coming in contact with poison ivy can irritate your airways and also cause asthma or acute bronchitis.  In severe cases, a high dose of corticosteroids is used to tame this reaction.  On the other hand, ingestion of poison ivy can also result in serious skin lesions caused by a toxic reaction.

Even though the plant appears to be dead, the uroshiol oil still remains on the plant.  The uroshiol oil is the culprit of what creates the miserable itchy, blistery skin reactions associated with poison ivy.  While some people don’t have a reaction to the uroshiol oil, other people may be hospitalized because their reaction is so severe.   Even if you were exposed to poison ivy and you didn’t have a reaction, this doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re immune to it.  You can develop a reaction at any time in your life.

Poison ivy rash symptoms are usually a red itchy rash that later develops into blisters.  Always wash your skin with soap and water to eliminate the rash from spreading and remember to immediately remove all clothing.  Popping your blisters DO NOT cause your rash to spread; however it’s important to remember that scratching the area could cause a secondary bacterial infection.  Using an antimicrobial spray or gel will eliminate secondary bacterial infections.

To avoid getting poison ivy, wear long pants and shoes that cover your entire foot. If you know you’ve been exposed to poison ivy, remove your clothes immediately to avoid the oil from spreading to other parts of your body.  Then soap and rinse your skin immediately with COLD water.  Remember that hot water will open your pores and let the oil in, which could make your reaction worse.

Remember to wash any articles might have gotten contaminated by the uroshiol oil such as your boots, gloves, equipment and even your pet!
