Skin Parasites vs. Scabies
Skin Parasites
There are several forms of skin parasite that can cause suffering and illness in people, and most are well known and understood. They take the form of miniature insects – mites, fleas and ticks to be broad – and show up in a number of ways, causing a variety of skin problems that can be a source of notable pain to the inflicted.
Scabies
The Scabies Mite Among the most widely recorded instances of mites in humans are some that feature the the Scabies, or Itch, mite. This miniscule mite feeds on our blood and eats tiny tunnels in the skin where the female lays her egg stays for her lifetime. The creatures are spread by one to one contact, as they can not survive without a human host. The tunnelling of the mites instigates very serious itching and discomfort, and leaves behind a tiny indication of a line where the mite has burrowed under the skin.
Inflammation of the skin also occurs, and scratching by the patient is inevitable, and simply exaggerates the problem. Identifying scabies is quite quick – the discolouration of the skin and the terrible itching are ever present – but it might also be a symptom of other similar infections , and is thus not easy to diagnose correctly. One notable problem is that the symptoms may not be felt until several weeks after the mites have come to live, leading to the problem being much advanced by the time it is diagnosed. Once spotted, however, scabies can be treated with a choice of creams and lotions and other solutions, and is not difficult to treat very swiftly indeed.
Ticks
Ticks are distinguished from mites in that they exist on the skin, and feed on our blood by eating their way into the skin and securing themselves by way of very powerful protruding barbs. This is one facet of ticks that live on mammals and humans that instils them extremely horrible; it also makes them supremely difficult to remove with ease, and whether on a human or animal, it is dangerous to simply pick a tick that is in the process of eating off the body. This action will to leave the jaw section – the anchor – in the first layers of the skin and, in a number of cases, can impel surgery being necessary in order to prevent serious infection. The agreed method of removing ticks is to encase them in butter or oil, or other fatty substances, which serves to suffocate the mite in a short time. The use of fats results in a relaxing of the creature’s grip, and it should thus be easy to remove. Ticks, in particular those found in tropical countries, can carry a number of very problematic fevers, and as such ought to be treated with a degree of necessity in all cases.
Morgellons
Morgellons Syndrome One of the more interesting problems associated with skin parasites is that known as Morgellons Syndrome, a recently investigated condition that is as interesting as it is troubling. Morgellons syndrome is a parasitic infection with a very odd feature – there are no parasites medical institutions as a delusionary condition. However, it is accepted as not being an entirely modern condition, just one that has been pictured more widely in recent years. Treatment for Morgellons syndrome often follows that undertaken for similar delusionary illnesses, and so far it has not been viewed by the medical profession as anything other than a problem akin toan inexplicable psychological
Skin Parasite Symptoms
For people who suffer with skin parasites symptoms, it is common to experience interrupted sleep by skin parasites crawling on your face, legs, private area. You wonder if it’s your imagination, but then you realize the crawling feelings are often accompanied by a biting, stinging sensation.
You may wonder if the sensations are on top or underneath your skin. Most spend countless hours expecting their skin to see what’s causing the problem. Hoping for relief from the skin parasites, you scratch it. Moments later; infact almost immediately after, the biting returns and it’s relentless. It’s common to find a rash developing the next day or bites on your skin.
You wonder, What’s causing the biting, rashes, and what should you do about it? Many see a doctor, all to be told that you are delusional and they really don’t want nothing to do with you. So many people walk away feeling lonely, withdrawn and don’t know where to turn. Your doctor may have told you that it’s stress, you just need a vacation or worse yet, that you have acrophobia.
The CDC says they are working on finding a cure for skin parasites on humans; but still, no cure. There are only remedies out there to reduce your symptoms. Diet, disinfecting and boosting your immune system is a common approach to fighting this aweful disease.
Most skin parasites are harmless and often times go away with a good skin parasties treatment, there are some skin parasites such as Morgellons (of unknown origin), unknown to most doctors, that can make life very difficult. Some have resorted to suicide because they just can’t take the constant itching, insane crawling sensations, but most of all exclusion from their families. No one knows if this disease is contagious because there is no cure and little is known.
In many instances the skin parasite bite looks Like a Mosquito Bite or an ant bite or it may look like the Beginnings of a pimple or a Zit; but It Never Goes Away! There are many skin parasites pictures that range from fibers, worms, bugs, to unidentified parasites.
Scabies Mite
The scabies mite is a wingless insect and often called the Human Itch mite or Scabies itch mite. The tiny insect is just visible to the eye (about 0.4mm) and is tiny, eight-legged creature with a round body.
I liked the scabies mites video below because it actually shows what the scabies mite looks like and also demonstrates how it moves. Imagine these tiny insects buried into your skin while scratching and biting.
The female mite is drawn to heat and odor from humans. The mite makes a burrow, laying eggs and secrets saliva and feces that cause an allergic reaction. Larvae (babies) hatch from the eggs and travel to the skin surface, lying in shallow pockets where they will produce secretions.
The female scabies mite burrows into the skin and she lays 1-3 eggs daily. If the female mite is not killed, she will hatch new eggs for 5 weeks.
The scabies rash is caused by the mite, its eggs and feces; the skin becomes irritated and inflammation usually occurs. The scabbee rash is extremely itchy, which often causes sleeping problems especially in infants and young children.
There are non toxic and toxic (prescriptions) scabies treatments available on the market. A non pesticidal treatment you might consider uses a surfactant called Mitactin.

What does Radiant Skin and Psoriasis have in common?
Remember when your mom used to tell you to stay away from French fries because it caused acne and black heads? Well… it’s no different if you have psoriasis.
You can still have beautiful radiant skin even though you suffer from psoriasis. What you eat really does impact the health of your skin. By making changes in your diet, you can directly impact your skin health while living with psoriasis.
Studies have found that many psoriasis sufferers are deficient in Vitamin A, B, D-3, Vitamin E and zinc in people with psoriasis symptoms. Getting enough micronutrients from food alone is not enough. Current research indicates that these vitamins may prove beneficial to psoriasis patients in easing symptoms. Supplementing your diet with a multivitamin is wise when dealing with skin conditions such as psoriasis to help bring added relief.
Additionally, arachidonic acid and leukotrienes often appear to be raised or elevated in the urine of people with active psoriasis. Eating fish or taking fish oil supplements (EPA/DHA) can have an anti-inflammatory effect in psoriasis and other skin condition sufferers.
It is believed that toxic build up in the body could be a contributing cause of psoriasis and other type of skin irritation symptoms. Additionally, people with psoriasis seem to have a higher sensitity to food allergies. The most common food allergens are gluten and dairy products.
Although fruits and vegetables are recommended in your diet, tomatoes, eggplant and strawberries may make your psoriasis symptoms worse. Note that highly processed foods, soda, alcohol, fried foods, caffeine may also cause increased skin inflammation.
Drinking at least eight glasses of water a day, while eating fresh fruits and vegetables, is highly suggested to keep your skin beautiful and radiant. Eating these types of foods is not only beneficial to those suffering from skin ailments, but is also a healthy way for people not currently afflicted to prevent future skin conditions from forming. Very limited amounts of meats and low-fat dairy products, eggs, and olive oil are also suggested.

Poison Ivy Deadly to some
Poison Ivy can be deadly to some people, but knowing your enemy intimately can save your life! Coming in contact with poison ivy can irritate your airways and also cause asthma or acute bronchitis. In severe cases, a high dose of corticosteroids is used to tame this reaction. On the other hand, ingestion of poison ivy can also result in serious skin lesions caused by a toxic reaction.
Even though the plant appears to be dead, the uroshiol oil still remains on the plant. The uroshiol oil is the culprit of what creates the miserable itchy, blistery skin reactions associated with poison ivy. While some people don’t have a reaction to the uroshiol oil, other people may be hospitalized because their reaction is so severe. Even if you were exposed to poison ivy and you didn’t have a reaction, this doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re immune to it. You can develop a reaction at any time in your life.
Poison ivy rash symptoms are usually a red itchy rash that later develops into blisters. Always wash your skin with soap and water to eliminate the rash from spreading and remember to immediately remove all clothing. Popping your blisters DO NOT cause your rash to spread; however it’s important to remember that scratching the area could cause a secondary bacterial infection. Using an antimicrobial spray or gel will eliminate secondary bacterial infections.
To avoid getting poison ivy, wear long pants and shoes that cover your entire foot. If you know you’ve been exposed to poison ivy, remove your clothes immediately to avoid the oil from spreading to other parts of your body. Then soap and rinse your skin immediately with COLD water. Remember that hot water will open your pores and let the oil in, which could make your reaction worse.
Remember to wash any articles might have gotten contaminated by the uroshiol oil such as your boots, gloves, equipment and even your pet!

Jock Itch the flaming Crotch
Jock Itch causes include moisture, warmth, and skin friction in the groin folds by wearing tight, occlusive clothing and undergarments that trap in sweat.
Jock Itch is usually associated as a inflammation or rash on men in the groin area; however that is not totally true! Women get jock itch too. Jock itch is more common in men than in women simply because the presence of male genitalia leads to increased friction and humidity. Women are more prone to develop a similar condition under their breasts.
Although the term Jock Itch implies that there is some sort of relationship with sports or athletics, anyone can get jock itch. Jock itch is a fungal infection or rash caused by humidity, heat and friction that can irritate the skin. Microorganisms such as bacteria, yeast and fungi infect the skin and cause burning, swelling along with a great deal of pain.
People who take antibiotics, diabetics, obesity or those from weakened immune systems are more at risk to develop the jock itch rash. Jock is also highly contagious; therefore preventing the spread of jock itch by avoiding scratching, sexual activity, disinfecting your dress area with a hospital grade disinfectant and avoid wearing damp underwear is critical. You can easily spread jock itch in your groin area to your feet by simply taking off your underwear; therefore jock itch is easily spread to other areas of your body and to others.
Intimate contact or contact with objects that harbor fungus can contaminate the groin skin. The fungus is spread by contact with the spores, which may survive on dead skin cells or objects for a long time. An example is sharing a bath towel, socks, or even showering in a shower not properly disinfected.

Head Lice Prevention
Preventing head lice is impossible; however understanding how a person contracts head lice will greatly reduce the chances of being infested with head lice. Teaching your children not to share hats, scarves and combs is the first step to Head Lice Prevention. Girls are more likely to contact lice than boys do because girls are in close contact with one another more.
The greatest risk factor for getting head lice is coming into contact with someone who already has lice. Most often people associate cleanliness and personal hygiene with getting head lice; however it has little bearing on whether you get lice.
It’s harder to prevent the spread of head lice among children in nursery or daycare school settings because these children are in constant close contact with one another. There’s so much close contact among children and their belongings that lice can spread easily. Imagine your children’s coats and hats nicely hung on the little hooks in the class room; then imagine how easy it would be for lice to move from one hat to another.
You can ask your child not to share brushes, hats, coats, scarves, combs, hair bows and other personal belongings at school. But how can you stop someone from coming up to your child and hugging them?
The best approach to head lice prevention is to take the time to completely rid you or your child from any lice infestation immediately when it happens. It’s important to understand you should follow steps to get rid of the lice and their eggs, so that you don’t have more lice to deal with when the eggs hatch about a week later. Most people forget to pull all the eggs off the hair strands. Treating the entire family for head lice is also highly recommended with Non Toxic Hair lice removal systems such as Liceadex.

All Stop Pain Relief
When you hear the word “Arthritis”, the first thing that comes to mind is pain that is associated with stiff joints. There are different variations of Arthritis symptoms and treatments available on the market. The word “arthritis” often makes many people think of painful, stiff joints, but it’s much more than just that. Most types of arthritis are chronic which means that this can go on for a long period of time.
The pain from Arthritis can cause changes you can see and feel; for example you may experience swelling, warmth, and redness in your joints. Some types of arthritis may be less painful, but can still slowly cause damage to your joints while other types of arthritis cause pain and swelling for only a short time.
Osteoarthritis starts when cartilage that pads bones in a joint begins to wear away. When the cartilage has worn away, your bones rub against each other causing pain. It is more common to experience Osteoarthritis in your hands, neck, lower back, or the larger joints of your body such as your knees and hips.
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is more common in women than men and these people are usually tired and run a fever. The pain, swelling and stiffness can last for long periods of time. Rheumatoid arthritis does not have a preference as to what joint it attacks and it is not uncommon to attack the same joint, even on both sides of the body.
Gout is painful, but many people do not associate the pain with arthritis. Gout is one of the most painful kinds of arthritis. Gout is usually detected in the big toe and is often accompanied with redness and swelling. Eating foods such as liver, anchovies, dried beans, or gravy can lead to a gout flare-up. In older people, some blood pressure medicines can also increase the chance of a gout attack.
