Jock Itch Problem
I’ve researched the Web, and my rash *exactly* matches the photos and symptoms of jock itch in women, so I’m going to try an OTC anti fungal for it first, before going to the doctor. Any particular kind I should use, or will any anti fungal cream work?
I think if you use an antifungal cream designed for the genital region, it should treat it. I’m thinking something like Tinactin, Lotrimin or Lamisil should work.
If the creams don’t work after a couple of days, definitely see a doctor to make sure it isn’t being caused by something else.

What Is Jock Itch?
Jock itch is the popular name given to an itchy rash in the groin that commonly involves the inner thighs and adjacent skin, including the scrotum in males. The medical name for rash in the creases of overlapping skin is “intertrigo.” Jock itch is associated with sweating, friction/abrasion, occlusive clothing, and the direct rubbing of skin on skin. The rash may affect not only the groin, but it can involve any areas of skin that overlap, including around the anus and in the skin folds of obese individuals. Jock itch affects men and occasionally women worldwide.
