Home remedy for LICE?

I am looking for a good home remedy for lice.
One that works of course..
Thank you!! God bless!!

If you can handle all the greasyness…before bed, coat your scalp in something oily like petrolium jelly, neem oil (cut down by half in another oil) mayo. Soak your head for 2 hours in Listerine under a shower cap. Be careful not to get in your eyes, use a towel wrapper. Read this page: http://www.susangaer.com/studentprojects/lice.htm Do not use dog shampoo!!! Parents and pediatricians can also now to turn to Ulesfia (Benzyl Alcohol Lotion 5%) as a non-pesticide prescription treatment for head lice. Ulesfia can be applied to the hair of children over 6 months of age with Head Lice until it is saturated, washed off after 10 minutes, and then reapplied 7 days later. Unlike Nix, Rid and other head lice shampoos, Ulesfia is thought to work by blocking the louses respiratory spiracles, thereby suffocating them.

Lice Treatment.?

Alright hey i need some help.
My mom is dealing with her daughter who has headlice.
At the moment she is dumping vinegar on her head.
I need a bit of advice on what should she use to rid of them.
Experienced Tellers only please.
Help is greatly appreciated.
(:

-Rain
oh and lemme add
something that isnt head live medicine cause it DOESNT work 99.95%
of the time.

Rain,

Have you mom check out the natural solution that is sold under the brand NitFree.

That is what worked for us when the other stuff all failed.

Since it has been developed specifically for lice it will work. She will need the comb that they sell which is called the Terminator and also the mousse and the neon Nits. And she may want to add some Mint Spray which may help keep the lice away once they are gone this time.

Like someone else said, this will immobilize the lice and it will dissolve the nit glue that is holding the eggs to the hair.

The comb is the best that there is on the market in my opinion. Don’t just go pouring other oils and things n yoru sister’s hair just becuase the drugstore stuff does nto work. There are lots of products that are not sold in drugstores for lice that work.

And she needs to wash all the bedding etc in hot water and dry on high as well.

Good luck. here is the Canadian site and I think it leads to a US and International site as well.

there has been an outbreak of body lice in my childs classroom?

this little girl had red bumps all over her back. where can you see them at so i’ll know where to look on my child. where do they cause the rash at the most. will they get in your hair. i have 2 other children a 2 week old and a 2yr old. i don’t need this stuff in my home.

What are body lice?
Body lice are parasitic insects that live on the body and in the clothing or bedding of infested humans. Infestation is common, found worldwide, and affects people of all races. Body lice infestations spread rapidly under crowded conditions where hygiene is poor and there is frequent contact among people. Are Body Lice infestations common in the United States? Body lice are found only in homeless, transient populations who don’t have access to changes of clothes or bath. Infestation is unlikely to persist on anyone who bathes regularly and who regularly has access to freshly laundered clothing and bedding.

How do you get rid of head lice naturally?

I just found out that my 8 year old grandaughter has head lice. Does anyone know of any home remedies.

There are quite a few totally natural remedies available that readily kill Head Lice.

Suffocation is an effective method where oil based products (i.e.: mayonnaise) are used to block the breathing holes and kill the live lice. The real trick though is to find natural products that will kill both the live lice and their eggs in one fast effective treatment.

Remedies containing Neem Oil are known to be highly effective as Neem interrupts the growth and reproduction of the head louse. Neem’s insecticidal properties are widely recognized now and the oil is commonly available at your local health food store.

After the head lice is gone use prevention methods such as hairspray and tea tree oil mixed with water in a spray bottle every day to ensure they never return.

Feel free to check out the articles at the following site for more advice.

Good luck.
