Treating Super Lice
Treating Super Lice
Drug Resistant Super Lice
This past school season, a new breed of lice have appeared in school children across the country. As if, gross, little wingless insects taking a vacation in your child’s hair weren’t bad enough, now there is a new breed of drug-resistant lice invading your home. This species of Lice was recently coined “super lice” by the mass media and are tormenting school kids everywhere.
Super lice are drug-resistant creatures that fend off nearly all pesticides. It is natural selection at its finest. The more certain strands of head lice are attacked, the more resistant they become to pesticides. It has been reported that 4 out of 5 lice are immune to dangerous pesticides. Worst of all, researchers have been warning for years that head lice in the U.S. and around the world are developing an immunity to the strong pesticides used in over-the-counter prescription shampoos such as RID (uses the toxic pesticide pyrethrin) and NIX(uses the toxic ingredient permethrin).
Super Lice – Does Over The Counter Work?
Furthermore, school nurses across the nation have reported that parents have become increasingly frustrated with over-the-counter head lice products. View An MSNBC report on Super Lice Here
Besides the fact that toxic chemicals such as pyrethrin and permethrin don’t work, why would a person want to endanger their child with harmful chemicals in the first place? Especially, when their is a better way.
There are many crazy home remedies all over the Internet such as using rubbing alcohol and vinegar or even mayonnaise and then leaving it in your child’s hair for 3, 4 or even 5 hours. While home remedies have been proven to work to an extent, do you really want to put that stuff in anyone’s hair? Unless your daughter comes home from school one day and tells you she’d like to use vinegar, or mayonnaise as her shampoo of choice because it’s what’s in style and she personally likes the smell, then it’s probably a safe bet that the odors alone from these home remedies make these examples a bad choice for your child’s lice shampoo.
Liceadex – For Super Lice
Better yet, have fun making a kindergarten age child put mayonnaise in their hair for 4 or five hours. A better way is to attack the lice naturally with non-toxic products. Through careful inspections and by using non-toxic methods such as the Complete Liceadex System, the lice is attacked with natural, mechanical means.
Thus, even super lice CANNOT grow resistant to a non-toxic, all natural lice product such as Liceadex. Also, cleaning your environment is also key. This will prevent Lice from spreading once an outbreak has been controlled.

Does your head stop itching right after using a lice treatment shampoo or does it take a while?
Head Lice Treatment
I used the shampoo, but my head is still itching a little. I’m living overseas and can’t find a fine toothed comb anywhere. I did my best to get the eggs out and just figured I have to go over it again in a week or so. I can’t find anymore bugs, so I’m wondering if it’s just leftover itching, like a mosquito bite or something. Anybody know?
Best way to make sure the shampoo killed all the lice and eggs you really have to shampoo a few times and make sure you cover every piece of your hair with the shampoo, once the shampoo gets all the lice and eggs your head should not itch any longer, it should be as soon as you rinse the shampoo off, if you rinse and it’s still itching then you probably didn’t get all the lice and eggs, or maybe you need to try a different lice shampoo.
Different Lice Treatment
I know someone who had lice, they tried two different shampoos before they finally got relief, they were relieved as soon as they got out of the shower, it’s supposed to work right a way, if your head still itches it means some lice or eggs are still on your scalp. It’s best to have someone help you massage the shampoo thoroughly through your scalp so every hair strand is covered in shampoo. Also, remember to wash your pillow sheets, bed sheets, clothes you wore in warm water so any lice or eggs will die.

Natural head Lice Treatment Instead of Medications
Natural head lice treatments
Head Lice are tiny parasites that life and feed off the scalp and blood of human beings and natural head lice treatments are indeed necessary. They are flightless, can not jump and must have a warm humid area to survive in and natural head lice treatments are used to eradicate these parasites. They are contagious and easily contracted by slight contact of an infected person but natural head lice treatments can help them eliminate it. Because they lay their eggs otherwise known as Nits on human hair follicles using a glue like substance they are difficult to cure but some natural head lice treatments can help eliminate it.
Natural head lice treatments are needed because lice live mainly on the head and close to the scalp killing them has been a challenge. In fact, several years ago, many lice remedies were created but most of them have been found to cause more damage compared to natural head lice treatments than the lice themselves. Nowadays, people are resorting to natural head lice treatments to address head lice infestation. Here are some of the reasons why natural head lice treatments are being used.

Health reasons -Many of the lice treatment shampoos include pesticides in their ingredients to kill lice unlike natural head lice treatments. Although they may be effective, but natural head lice treatments are more effective than chemical medications. Some of these chemicals have been associated with a significant number of cancer cases, blood and liver disorders and even nervous and immune system conditions compared to less side effects of natural head lice treatments. This should cause caution when deciding to use these chemicals rather than natural head lice treatments for head lice removal because of two things. Because the scalp can absorb liquids and chemicals quickly, applying these on the scalp can cause side affects not found when these are applied to other areas of the skin and caution should be used. Second, pesticides often make use of toxins to immobilize and get rid of pests. It is common knowledge that using the same products in shampoos to treat lice will cause your body to absorb these chemicals thus natural head lice treatments is more safe and effective.
In contrast, natural head lice treatments do not make use of dangerous chemicals, so they do not involve the same health risks as lice treatments shampoos. However, caution is still advised in taking or using natural head lice treatments. Some natural head lice treatments can still be allergenic to some people.
Cost – In the case of natural head lice treatments, more expensive does not always mean more effective. Lice treatment shampoos and medications compared to natural head lice treatments can cost you hundreds of dollars, especially if infestation keeps reoccurring. On the other hand, most natural head lice treatments will cost only a small fraction of what you would normally spend on prescription shampoos and other medications. Some natural head lice treatments could even be free. The reason is due to the fact natural head lice treatments consist of common household goods and ingredients. Not only are they significantly less expensive, natural head lice treatments are easier to procure as well.
Effectiveness – Natural head lice treatments can be measured in several ways. First, if success means eliminating the adults, then most natural head lice treatments work as well as lice treatment shampoos. Because success is measured by the destruction of the lice and removal of the nits it is safe to assume natural head lice treatments are much more effective. Since medication and shampoos work by paralyzing the lice, they don’t have that much effect on the nits which are already immobile in the first place compared to natural head lice treatments. The natural head lice treatments however, rely on more mechanical approaches like sifting/sieving and smothering.
