How do I get rid of public lice?

Getting Rid of Public Lice

Found out I contracted Chlamydia from my husband soon to be ex-husband after this!!! I’m on the meds for that BUT today I noticed a single brown spec on my vagina which from a distance looks like a mole but after picking at it for a while, I think it’s public lice. Near the area it is also swollen and bledding. This isn’t too abnormal, I get ingrown hairs and have since I began puberty and the area will swell a little and bleed from time to time. Lice can move fast so it may be easier to spot the nits.

Dealing with Public Lice

I plan on going to my doc tomorrow but would like to know from someone who has public lice before, how do you treat it and how long does it take? The likelihood of passing public lice to others via couches, toilets, bedding etc…

In what way are they public, are they employed by the council?, are they in the media? Do they just hang at the mall?
