Does anyone know anything about laser treatments and enbrel for psoriasis?
Well i’ve had psoriasis since I was five years old and finally when I was 15 I went to a dermatologist. He prescribed stuff like Colbex and Desonide. Well those aren’t working on me and he’s telling me that we need to go on a laser treatment or change to enbrel. I’m kind of concerned about these treatments because I dont know anything about them. If you could help that would be great!
i dont think its much help, but try google or ask.com
you might find better information there.
There are many alternative Topical Psoriasis Treatments that works great without having laser treatment or surgery.
Does any one know any good treatments for Psoriasis?
my partner has it and has tried all diffrent creams from the doctor and nothing seems to work.
Has anyone had it before and is there a cure?
Unfortunately there is no permanent cure, this always leads to there being thousands of quack remedies hawked online. treatment is both site and severity dependant. The standard management these days is Calcitriol. Its clean and non-toxic, but even when it does work the effects are often temporary. Broadly steroids should be avoided except for specific areas. The face is a rare site for psoriasis, fortunately, if affected however 1% hydrocortisone can be used here safely, The other area where it can be used safely is the scalp, which can often be quite badly involved. Elsewhere if steroids are used for flare ups the motto least potent shortest time is best applied.
I tended to find that returning to the 2 older preparations tar and dithranol was often very successful. Unfortunately they are difficult to manipulate and few younger doctors have ever used them. Both need to be applied for short periods initially and in very low strengths, gradually increasing contact time from perhaps 30 minutes initially and gradually increasing concentration. Both can burn if used inappropriately.
In generalised widespread psoriasis PUVA is used, UV light with the initial use of a skin sensitiser.
There are many topical treatment for psoriasis that will treat the problem and can also prevent recurrence as well.
my dermitalogist said i have seborrheic dermatits but gave me a shampoo for psoriasis to treat it?
Yea, should i use it? these two issues are VERY different and i do not have any symptoms of psoriasis. I have a few flakes on my scalp but nothing like psoriasis. but she gave me a shampoo to treat it for psoriasis, should i use it?
the shampoo is called Clobex, please help me!
Give it a try, the main ingredient is Clobetasol propionate, and below is a study where researchers tested that ingredient on SD and found that it helps get rid of it in some people.

does anyone know about any good treatments for scalp psoriasis?
i have scalp psoriasis and it’s really irritating. i’ve tried several drug store shampoos but i feel like they aren’t working.
If your scalp psoriasis is severe enough, you’re going to need some prescription items, rather than over the counter medicines. Your dermatologist can help you out with this.
Many Psoriasis Topical Creams or Salves can also be used to treat psoriasis on scalp as well.
Are there any good treatments for psoriasis on the bottom of feet?
I have psoraisis of the head, hands, heels and small portion of my feet. try all natural and unrefined sheabutter. rub on feet before you go to bed and keep socks off of feet. put shea on in the morning as well with socks on. It is said that sheabutter draws out the toxins in skin. It’s helping me a little so far. May feel a mild tingling or burning sensation.

Psoriasis at home/otc remedies?
I have psoriasis on my face, more specifically it is on both of my eye lids, right next to my right eye, and on my upper lip.
What kinds of treatments have you used that have given you positive results? I don’t have health insurance (a growing epidemic in this country) so I can’t afford to go to a dermatologist.
I have just purchased Psoriasin gel and want to know if this will work, or is it a waste of my money?
Maybe you have an at home remedy or have had success with an over the counter application. Please let me know what you have tried and your results. Thank you.
hmm… guess no one knows about psoriasis??
I was using herbal remedies from serenaskin.com for my psoriasis and it works great for me. You can not treat this disease only by applying creams, it needs to be treated from inside out. Serenaskin has anti-psoriasis extract that keep the immune system balanced, so it won’t trigger the flare-ups. I take this extract twice a year as advised and it controls my eczema very well.

I have seen a Dr. in the past and I’m sure it is stress related psoriasis. It’s getting better but I’d realy like some ideas for what I can eat, drink or put on my skin.

With regard to the treatment of psoriasis, attention to diet, see references, no remedial measures have the disease, the key is to stick to it. I hope you a speedy recovery.

do you know of a natural treatment for psoriasis? while it cannot be cured, symptoms can be relieved?
I’ll give you a few suggestions you can try.
I am going to try this one since I just heard about it. Soak your elbows in vinegar or apple cider vinegar for a few minutes and then wrap it with a pad soaked in warmed olive oil. I’d suggest doing this in the evenings before bed so it can really soak in. This would make a great nighttime soak.
Also, you can go for lotions that really create a barrier and keep your skin from being exposed to dry conditions etc like Vaseline Intensive Care lotion twice a day. That one really gave me some relief and helped keep my plaques under control.
Sunlight or UV rays is touch and go for people but make sure you use sunscreen on the areas of the body that isn’t covered in plaques while in the sun or rays since our skin is different than the average skin types out there. You definitely don’t want to cure psoriasis to end up with skin cancer!
I have heard of people having success with rubbing vitamin e oil *just take vitamin e capsules, break them, and rub the oil on the plaques* and then bandaging it.
The main thing is to keep the areas moist or protected from drying out. If you do keep the skin moist just be really careful to watch for infection since we get it easier than other people. Let the skin dry but not dry out between applications of different products! I hope that gives you a few things to try so you don’t feel at your wits end with it. The main thing you need to know is not one thing is going to work for everyone so try a few different ideas to find what works for YOU and good luck!
You can find many topical treatment for psoriasis out there that is specifically designed to help balance your skin’s natural pH Level. This helps to stop the itch and relieve symptoms of Psoriasis and prevent recurrence.
