turmeric for psoriasis? and other treatments?

I have mild psoriasis on my knees and scalp. I go to photo therapy twice a week, but it is not going away. I read something about turmeric and how it might help. Does anyone have any experience using this for psoriasis? Did it work for you? What other treatments have you been successful with?

My mother has HORRIBLE psoriatic arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. The backs of her hands looked like alligator skin – very think scales, very bright red, broken skin. She also had patches on her knees and elbows. She began using a turmeric supplement about two months ago and ALL her skin is beautiful! No more broken skin, no more patches of scales….nothing! All cleared up! If you are at all bothered by psoriasis, TRY TURMERIC!! What have you got to lose? Good luck!

my chihuahua has psoriasis what home remedy will help?

she is a stray we took in this winter and had treated at the vets, we are hoping for a home remedy that will work. her skin is really pink and she scratches a lot and bites herself also. would baby oil work?

You might consider that she has a food allergy. Ask your vet if this is a possibility. There are steroid and benedryl treatment to help stop the itch, but if it is to the food, you need to change.
Major allergen is corn

does anyone know about any good treatments for scalp psoriasis?

i have scalp psoriasis and it’s really irritating. i’ve tried several drug store shampoos but i feel like they aren’t working.

If your scalp psoriasis is severe enough, you’re going to need some prescription items, rather than over the counter medicines. Your dermatologist can help you out with this.

Many Psoriasis Topical Creams or Salves can also be used to treat psoriasis on scalp as well.

Are there any good treatments for psoriasis on the bottom of feet?

I have psoraisis of the head, hands, heels and small portion of my feet. try all natural and unrefined sheabutter. rub on feet before you go to bed and keep socks off of feet. put shea on in the morning as well with socks on. It is said that sheabutter draws out the toxins in skin. It’s helping me a little so far. May feel a mild tingling or burning sensation.

Psoriasis at home/otc remedies?

I have psoriasis on my face, more specifically it is on both of my eye lids, right next to my right eye, and on my upper lip.

What kinds of treatments have you used that have given you positive results? I don’t have health insurance (a growing epidemic in this country) so I can’t afford to go to a dermatologist.

I have just purchased Psoriasin gel and want to know if this will work, or is it a waste of my money?

Maybe you have an at home remedy or have had success with an over the counter application. Please let me know what you have tried and your results. Thank you.
hmm… guess no one knows about psoriasis??

I was using herbal remedies from serenaskin.com for my psoriasis and it works great for me. You can not treat this disease only by applying creams, it needs to be treated from inside out. Serenaskin has anti-psoriasis extract that keep the immune system balanced, so it won’t trigger the flare-ups. I take this extract twice a year as advised and it controls my eczema very well.

Any good psoriasis scalp treatments that don’t contain tar?

…over the counter shampoo?

Hello there. You can try one of the natural remedies available online: just google “natural remedy for psoriasis” and take your pick. Some of them do actually work. For my scalp psoriasis the herbal cream by Champori works the best: it takes about 2 weeks to clear the patches and then they stay clear for months on end. Try it: champori comes with money back guarantee so if it doesn’t work for you – it’s free.
Cheers,
Stella

Alternative treatments for psoriasis?

I have a kid that developed psoriasis in several parts of the body. I already got some treatments from a couple of doctors but also researched about it in the net. Still, I feel that the medicine is not working as fast as we would like. I do know that the kid will have to live with the issue and I should support him mentally and physically. Are there any affordable or natural alternative treatments I can use at home?

Rubbing chamonile tea on the body can reduce. Try it one night before the child goes to sleep. You’ll see.

Good Luck!

‘-)

There are many alternative treatments for psoriasis out there  that is specifically designed to help balance your skin’s natural pH Level. This in turn helps to stop the itch and relieve symptoms of Psoriasis.
