Head Lice is something that a person can catch by just being at the wrong place at the wrong time. It doesn’t mean that you are dirty. It is important to know what exactly Head Lice are in the instance that you come in contact with an infestation.
The head louse reproduces by laying eggs, which are attached to the base of hairs close to the scalp. Nits (a name for the eggs and young lice) hatch in three to fourteen days. After they hatch, they must feed on blood within a day. If they do not, they will die. Head Lice may spread to the eyebrows, eyelashes, and facial hair in adults. They are usually isolated to the scalp in children.
Remember it is important to also treat your environment thoroughly with the All Stop Professional Steamer and DE (Diatomaceous Earth) if you contract Head Lice.
